Dayton and surrounding areas are starting to notice a little 'family owned and operated' grocery shopping & home delivery service that has been in operation since March 2001.

Dayton, OH. May 8, 2004 - For the past three years Go-For Groceries Shopping & Home Delivery Service has been in the business of helping anyone in need of grocery shopping assistance. Sheila Ward, owner and operator, started this thriving business after many months of helping her father, Robert Weaver - a War Veteran and retired Postal Employee, with his grocery needs. He would go on to tell his friends about the help he was getting with his groceries, and soon, Sheila was recruited to help them too.


Being without a job at the time opened up a window of opportunity for Sheila to start a grocery shopping service for the whole community and charge a small fee.


On March 1, 2001, Go-For Groceries was officially open for business. Though the service is for anyone in need of grocery assistance, the majority of their customers are Seniors and the Disabled. They enjoy the personalized 'attention-to-detail', being able to choose their favorite store, assistance with grocery list preparation, and storage of goods after delivery - for no additional fee.


Their slogan is: "You choose the store, we'll shop & deliver to your door". And they provide this excellent service six days a week, plus, Same-Day Emergency Service is also available. Rain or Shine... or bad weather of any kind.
